Louis Leonhart

Louis Leonhart is the founder and principal consultant of Bird Dog Technology, bringing more than 20 years of experience designing, engineering, and supporting complex wired and wireless networks.

Throughout his career, Louis has worked across enterprise, telecommunications, healthcare, public safety, government, and commercial environments. His experience spans network architecture, routing and switching and wireless infrastructure, RF engineering, network security, firewalls, VPNs, and the integration of critical network systems. His background includes everything from troubleshooting difficult connectivity and wireless performance problems to designing large-scale network and RF environments.

As a U.S. Army veteran, Louis brings a practical, disciplined approach to engineering. He believes good technology should solve business problems rather than create additional complexity. That philosophy is at the heart of Bird Dog Technology.

Louis founded Bird Dog Technology to give small and mid-sized businesses access to the same level of network engineering expertise typically available to large enterprises. Rather than selling unnecessary products or pushing one particular manufacturer, Bird Dog Technology focuses on understanding the problem, identifying the right solution, and helping clients build networks that are reliable, secure, scalable, and easier to manage.

Based in the Houston area, Louis works directly with clients throughout Houston, The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, and surrounding communities.
